About Add Text to PDF
Add Text to PDF stamps a line of your own text onto a PDF — a reference number, "PAID", "Copy for records", a date or a short note — without needing Acrobat. You choose the page (first, last or every page), the corner or centre where it goes, and the font size.
The text is drawn into the page itself, so it prints and shows in every PDF reader. Gujarati and Hindi (Devanagari) text is supported with proper fonts, not boxes. If your text is too long for the page, the font is reduced automatically so it never runs off the edge.
How to use Add Text to PDF
- Upload the PDF you want to add text to.
- Type your text, then pick the page (First, Last or All), the position (a corner or Center) and a font size between 6 and 96.
- Press Add Text and download the updated PDF.
Key features
- Place text in any corner or the centre of the page
- Apply it to the first page, the last page or every page
- Supports English, Gujarati and Hindi text
- Long text is scaled down automatically to stay on the page
When to use Add Text to PDF
- Stamping "PAID", "RECEIVED" or "COPY" on an invoice or receipt before filing it.
- Adding a reference or application number to the first page of a form before uploading it to a portal.
- Writing a short note, date or name in Gujarati or Hindi on a document you share with family or a local office.
Tips and common problems
- Check where your pages have empty space first — corners usually do, but letterheads often fill the top.
- Use "Last" for a note that belongs at the end of a document, such as "Received on 5 Oct 2026".
- If the text looks too small, it was probably shortened to fit the page width; use a shorter text or a smaller starting size.
- For text on every page at the top or bottom, Header & Footer centres it for you.
Frequently asked questions
Yes. Gujarati and Devanagari (Hindi, Marathi) text is drawn with Noto fonts, so the letters and matras appear correctly instead of empty boxes.
No. Standard PDF fonts cannot draw emoji, so emoji are removed. If the text contains only emoji, the tool asks you to use letters or numbers instead.
The text becomes part of the page content, like a printed stamp. To change it, run the tool again on your original file.
The text is drawn on top of the page at the position you choose, with a 24-point margin from the edges. Pick a corner that is empty on your pages.
