About Split PDF
Split PDF breaks a PDF into separate one-page PDF files. Enter the pages you want — for example 1-3,5 — and each of those pages is saved as its own PDF, all delivered together in a ZIP.
It is useful when every page is a separate document, such as a batch of scanned invoices or certificates. If you want several pages kept together in one file instead, use Extract Pages. Files are sent over HTTPS, processed on our server and deleted automatically after you download the result.
How to use Split PDF
- Upload the PDF.
- Enter the pages to split out, e.g. 1-3,5,8.
- Press Split and download the ZIP of single-page PDFs.
Key features
- Each selected page becomes its own PDF
- Single pages and ranges (1-3,5,8)
- All files bundled in one ZIP
- Pages copied without any quality loss
When to use Split PDF
- Separating a batch of scanned invoices or certificates into one file per page.
- Sending each person only their own page from a combined document.
- Uploading pages separately to a portal that limits file size.
Tips and common problems
- Enter ranges such as 1-10 to split many pages at once.
- Want pages kept together (e.g. pages 1–3 as one file)? Use Extract Pages instead.
- Rename the files after unzipping — they are numbered in page order.
Frequently asked questions
Use Extract Pages with 1-3 — it creates one PDF that contains those pages.
Double-click it on Windows or macOS, or tap it in the Files app on Android and iPhone, to see the separate PDFs.
Pages outside the document are skipped; only valid pages are split out.
