PDF Tools
Everything you need to work with PDF files in one place. Merge several PDFs into one, split out the pages you need, shrink a large file to fit an email, rotate or protect a document, or convert PDFs to and from images and text.
Every tool runs in your browser interface and processes files over a secure connection. Uploaded and converted files are removed automatically once your download is ready — nothing is kept.
Which tool should I use?
Combining, splitting and rearranging pages
Merge PDF joins several files into one. Split PDF does the opposite and saves each selected page as its own PDF. Extract Pages keeps the pages you choose together in one new file, Remove Pages deletes the ones you do not want, and Organize PDF lets you type a completely new page order. Split Pages in Half cuts two-page book scans into single pages.
Making a PDF smaller
Compress PDF rebuilds the file structure without changing anything you see — great for exported documents, less effective for scans. For scanned documents, the images are what make the file big: resize and compress them, then rebuild the PDF with Image to PDF. Grayscale PDF can also help for black-and-white documents. Resize PDF changes the paper size (A4, Letter), not the file size.
Passwords, forms and damaged files
Protect PDF encrypts a file with a password (AES-256); Unlock PDF removes a password you know. Flatten PDF turns filled-in form fields and comments into fixed page content before you submit a form. Repair PDF rebuilds files that will not open, and PDF to PDF/A converts documents for portals and archives that require the archival format.
Adding text, numbers, stamps and signatures
Add Page Numbers puts "1 / 12" at the bottom of every page, Bates Numbering adds legal-style IDs such as ABC000001, and Header & Footer adds the same line of text to every page. PDF Watermark stamps diagonal text, Image Watermark places a logo, and Overlay PDF lays one PDF page (such as a letterhead) over another. Add Text to PDF places a single note, and Sign PDF places your signature image. Text tools support English, Gujarati and Hindi.
Converting to and from PDF
PDF to JPG and PDF to Image turn pages into pictures, Extract Images pulls out the original embedded images, and PDF to Text extracts the text. If a PDF is a scan, run OCR PDF first to make it searchable. PDF Converter turns PDFs into Word and Office files into PDF, while HTML, TXT and Visio files have their own converters.
