  • Every guide now has several real screenshots of the tools at work, placed under the steps they illustrate.
  • Every tool page now has a Related guides block, and every guide lists the tools it uses.
  • Longer pages for Visio to PDF, CSV to XML, XML Minify, UUID Generator and Markdown to HTML, with real examples, common errors and fixes, and comparison tables.
  • The PDF, image, document and developer category pages now open with a table of which tool suits which job, and format basics.
  • Tool pages and guides now show when their content last changed. Added an author page and this changelog.

Longer pages, ten new guides and clearer policies

4 November 2026

  • New guides: converting Word to PDF and PDF to Word, splitting and extracting pages, watermarking, comparing documents, reducing video size, choosing an audio format, common JSON errors, YAML errors in Docker and Kubernetes, and making QR codes.
  • Every tool page gained a list of what the tool cannot do, a comparison and more FAQs.
  • All guides extended, each with a screenshot and a worked example.
  • New Disclaimer page. The Privacy Policy now covers AdSense, third-party cookies and the DoubleClick cookie, and the Terms have an acceptable use section.
  • Unlock PDF now says plainly that it is only for PDFs you own and whose password you know.
  • The owner, location and contact email are shown on the About and Contact pages.

Fix for tool pages missing from Google

Better PDF to Word

  • PDF to Word now rebuilds the page layout (DOCX and DOC) instead of only extracting text.
  • Pages load faster, with self-hosted fonts and scripts that load later.

New QR Code Generator

25 October 2026

  • New tool with 10 code types including UPI payments, Wi-Fi and contacts, an optional logo, and PNG, SVG and JPG downloads.
  • Bulk mode makes one QR code per link and downloads them as a ZIP.
  • Fixed transparent PNG codes that some scanners could not read.

Image Resizer improvements

  • Resizing to an exact width and height no longer stretches the picture.
  • Fixed BMP files across the image tools.

Easier recovery from errors

Content clean-up and ratings

  • Merged 39 duplicate tool pages into their main tool, with redirects from the old addresses.
  • New per-tool content written from how each tool works, and more guides.
  • "Rate FilesSwift" form and anonymous rating totals from real visitors.
  • CSV to JSON no longer changes values such as leading zeros, and upload limits are now the real ones.
