About HTML to PDF

HTML to PDF converts an .html file into a PDF document using LibreOffice. It works well for simple, document-style pages — invoices, letters, reports, saved email templates — with headings, paragraphs, lists, tables and images.

Modern web layouts that rely on advanced CSS (flexbox, grid, custom fonts loaded by scripts) are not reproduced exactly. For those, the browser's own Print → Save as PDF usually gives a closer match. Files are sent over HTTPS, processed on our server and deleted automatically after you download the result.

How to use HTML to PDF

  1. Upload your .html or .htm file.
  2. Press Convert.
  3. Download the PDF and check the layout.

Key features

  • Converts headings, paragraphs, lists, tables and images
  • Selectable text in the PDF
  • Converted with LibreOffice
  • Accepts .html and .htm files

When to use HTML to PDF

  • Saving an HTML invoice, receipt or report as a PDF to attach or archive.
  • Converting an HTML email template into a printable document.
  • Turning simple generated HTML reports into PDFs.

Tips and common problems

  • Use simple, document-style HTML (headings, paragraphs, tables) for the best result.
  • Use absolute image URLs (https://…) — images referenced from your own computer are not uploaded with the HTML file.
  • For complex web pages, your browser's Print → Save as PDF usually matches the screen better.

Frequently asked questions

Not directly. Save the page from your browser (Save page as → HTML) and upload that file, or use the browser's Print → Save as PDF.
