About Extract PDF Pages
Extract PDF Pages creates a new PDF that contains only the pages you choose. Pull one chapter out of a long report, keep just the signed pages of a contract, or send someone only the pages they need instead of the whole document.
Type single pages and ranges, such as 1,3,5-7. The original file is not changed; you download a new, smaller PDF with exactly those pages, at the same quality.
How to use Extract PDF Pages
- Upload the PDF.
- Enter the pages to keep, e.g. 2 or 1,3,5-7.
- Press Extract and download the new PDF.
Key features
- Single pages and ranges in one box (1,3,5-7)
- Pages copied without any loss of quality
- Clear error if a page number does not exist
- Original PDF left untouched
When to use Extract PDF Pages
- Sending only the signed pages of a contract instead of the full document.
- Pulling one chapter or one month's statement out of a long PDF.
- Uploading only the pages a portal asks for, such as pages 1–2 of an ID document.
Tips and common problems
- Pages appear in the new file in the order you type them, so 3,1 puts page 3 first.
- Use page numbers from your PDF reader's page counter, not the numbers printed on the pages — they often differ.
- If you want each page as a separate file instead, use Split PDF.
Frequently asked questions
Split PDF divides a document into several files. Extract Pages gives you one new PDF made of the pages you pick.
The tool tells you which page is out of range and how many pages the PDF has, so you can correct it.
The page content is copied exactly. Some document-level features, such as bookmarks that point to pages you did not keep, may not carry over.
