About Resize PDF

Resize PDF changes the page size of a PDF to A4, Letter, Legal or A3. It is useful when a document made in the US (Letter) has to be printed or submitted on A4, or when pages of mixed sizes need to become one consistent size.

Each page is scaled to fit the new size without distortion and centred on it. Landscape pages stay landscape and portrait pages stay portrait, so nothing is squashed onto the wrong orientation.

How to use Resize PDF

  1. Upload the PDF.
  2. Choose the target page size: A4, Letter, Legal or A3.
  3. Press Resize and download the PDF.

Key features

  • A4, Letter, Legal and A3 page sizes
  • Content scaled to fit, proportions kept
  • Orientation of each page preserved
  • Content stays vector — text remains sharp

When to use Resize PDF

  • Converting US Letter documents to A4 for printing or submission in India, Europe or elsewhere.
  • Making a document with mixed page sizes consistent before merging or printing.
  • Fitting small receipts or cards onto standard A4 pages.

Tips and common problems

  • Letter and A4 have different proportions, so a small white margin appears; that is expected.
  • Resizing changes page dimensions, not the file size in MB. Use Compress PDF for that.
  • For printing, also set your printer to "Actual size" so it does not scale the page again.

Frequently asked questions

When the old and new pages have different proportions (Letter vs A4, for example), the content is centred and the extra space appears as a small white margin.
