About Remove Duplicate Lines

Remove Duplicate Lines cleans a list by keeping each line only once — mailing lists, keyword lists, URLs, log entries, SKUs or names. Paste the list, press Remove Duplicates, and get the cleaned list with a summary of total lines, unique lines and how many duplicates were removed.

Options let you ignore case, trim spaces, remove blank lines, keep the first or last occurrence and sort A→Z or Z→A — or instead show only the duplicated lines, or only lines that appear once. It runs entirely in your browser, so nothing you paste is uploaded.

How to use Remove Duplicate Lines

  1. Paste your list, one item per line (or click Load example).
  2. Choose options such as Ignore case, Trim spaces or Sort.
  3. Press Remove Duplicates, then copy or download the result as .txt.

Key features

  • Ignore case and trim spaces when matching
  • Keep the first or last occurrence
  • Show unique lines, only duplicates, or lines that appear once
  • Statistics: total, unique, removed, blank lines

When to use Remove Duplicate Lines

  • Cleaning a mailing list before importing it.
  • Removing repeated keywords, URLs or IDs from a list.
  • Finding which entries appear more than once in a log or export.

Tips and common problems

  • Use Ignore case and Trim spaces together for lists typed by different people.
  • Choose "Keep last" when later lines are newer versions of earlier ones.
  • Use "Only duplicates" to audit where repetition comes from before deleting it.

Frequently asked questions

Yes, unless you choose a sort. Each line stays where its kept occurrence (first or last) was.
