About Audio Converter
Audio Converter converts audio files between MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, FLAC and OGG, and also opens AIFF and WMA. Use it to turn a large WAV recording into a small MP3, make a file playable on a phone or car stereo, or extract a lossless FLAC.
You control the result: bitrate from 96 to 320 kbps, sample rate (22,050, 44,100 or 48,000 Hz), mono or stereo, and title, artist and album tags. Files up to 200 MB are supported. Files are sent over HTTPS, processed on our server and deleted automatically after you download the result.
How to use Audio Converter
- Upload an audio file (up to 200 MB).
- Choose the output format and, optionally, bitrate, sample rate, channels and tags.

Tips and common problems
- For speech, 128 kbps mono MP3 is clear and small; for music, 192–320 kbps stereo.
- Converting a low-quality file to a higher bitrate does not make it sound better.
- Fill in title and artist tags so the file shows properly in music apps.
Frequently asked questions
192 kbps sounds good for music on most devices; 128 kbps is fine for speech and podcasts; 320 kbps is the maximum for MP3.
No. Quality lost in an MP3 cannot be restored; a lossless format only stops further loss.
It mixes both channels into one, halving the size of uncompressed files — fine for voice recordings.
